Will It Be Sous Vide? Let’s Pick a Different Theme!
Hi my beloved friends, and welcome back to yet another fun theme selection session forWill It Sous Vide? , a weekly column where I do whatever you want with my immersion circulator.
Last week we finally got our hands on sous vide bacon and now I feel so much better getting rid of it. But now it’s time to move on, and I have a feeling that we’re going to move on with either bread pudding or breakfast casserole, so I would like to know what type of bread pudding or breakfast casserole you wanted me to make. Here are some options I thought to play with:
- Bread Pudding: I’d like sweet here, but I don’t mind spicy, and I find the most rewarding experiment would be to play around with different types of bread and check the difference between dried bread and stale bread, etc.
- Breakfast casserole : My Platonic breakfast casserole idea is a divine combination of eggs, bacon, cheese, and (grated, always grated) potato pancakes, but I’m open to other suggestions here. (For example, I love bacon, but sausage might be better here because of the way it is cooked.)
These are my ideas, but as usual I am always open to whatever you can think of, so feel free!
