Create Beautiful Portraits by Stitching Multiple Close-Ups Instead of One Big Image
One way to take a good portrait shot is to keep your subject in focus while adding a bit of blur to the background. This is difficult to achieve, but if you take multiple close-ups of the subject and stitch them together, it’s easy to do.
The Koldunov brothers demonstrate this well in their video. While your subject is still, fully zoom in with the lens and shoot parts of it.
Each photo will only capture a small part of the person, but due to the focal length and distance from the subject, the background of each part will be blurred. When you stitch them together in Photoshop, the final image will have a blurry (er) background than you might otherwise get.
