Lifehacker Is Hiring a Writer

Lifehacker is looking for a new voice! You will need experience, an understanding of technology and productivity, and most of all, a love for Lifehacker and helping people live their best lives. Look like you? Here are the details.

We’re looking for a full-time in-house writer at our shiny new headquarters in New York. This is in part because you will also help us make more awesome Lifehacker videos, host Lifehacker events, and (and I’m biased) work with the writers I think are the best on the Internet. Are you a bad enough dude (or dude!) To save Ronnie and join our team? Here are the basics:

The ideal candidate will know how to best stay productive during a long day at the office, how to best organize household and family chores, and most importantly, will be happy to show others how to do it. They should always know what is best to buy, from computer monitors to home appliances, and they will be just as happy to tell these stories as they try the best options and highlight the pros and cons. The ideal candidate would be a fast, flexible, knowledgeable writer who strives to make their voices heard, touch on new topics, and reach new people traditionally underserved by technology and lifestyle media.

This writer will be responsible for creating original, engaging stories and finding the best of the Internet to share with Lifehacker’s diverse interested audience, as well as finding ways to draw more readers into the fold. It’s a job for those who can write, help conceptualize videos, complete scripts, shoot in front of the camera and shine.

We’re looking for someone with 1-2 years of writing and editing experience for a fast-paced lifestyle, tech venture, or consumer-centric blog with a diverse audience. Someone is excited about making awesome podcasts and videos and have great ideas on where we can get Lifehacker while staying true to our roots.

So. Look like you? Head here to apply and may the odds be in your favor.

Oh, and fair warning: we are receiving a lot of submissions, so we may not be able to reply to everyone (sorry!), But we will read all messages received.
