Make Customized Ice Cream Cakes From the Muffin Pan
Ice cream cake is delicious, but buying it is usually too much for you and a friend, and the layering of the cake and the melting of the ice cream can quickly go bad if you make your own. Use a muffin pan to give each a personalized cake and cut down on the number of preparations.
Separate ice cream cakes also make them less messy, which is helpful if you’re serving them to kids. In addition to cake and ice cream, you will need a muffin pan and plastic wrap. You also have the option of using waffle cookies as an extra layer between ice cream and toppings like sprinkles or melted chocolate.
Line each cup with plastic wrap and place a mug of cake in each cup. Scoop out the softened ice cream with the next layer, lay in the waffle if you like, then add another layer of ice cream (mix the flavors if you like). Freeze for at least an hour. You can store them in the freezer for up to a week.
