The Easiest and Most Comfortable Cookie Pie

Chicken pie or whatever is amazing homemade food. Covering it with a crust of dough is fine, but to enhance the nutritional value (and simplicity of the recipe), I suggest sprinkling your cookies with cookies.

The video above walks through the entire pot pie making process, but you can decorate any pie with any cookie of your choice. Homemade is always special, but I did it with canned cookies and it came out very tasty. To make a regular pie filling, start by sautéing your favorite vegetables (carrots, onions, peas, and mushrooms are my favorites) in butter. When everything is soft and tender, add a little flour and stir to coat the vegetables. When the flour is nice and golden, add some milk and broth to make the gravy. Add chicken (or don’t use to keep it vegetarian), pour into casserole, top with cookies and bake until cookies are golden brown and the filling is hot and bubbly.
