Google Home Can Now Manage Belkin WeMo and Honeywell Devices
Google Home is a serious contender for the Amazon Echo , but it launched with much less third-party support. The company has now added Belkin WeMo and Honeywell to the list of supported devices.
We’ve been recommending WeMo smart gadgets for years because it’s one of the cheapest and easiest ways to hack a home automation system . Meanwhile, Honeywell thermostats are a long-standing alternative to devices like the Nest .
According to a Google blog post about the announcement, you will now be able to add and control devices from both companies to your home using voice commands. You can then ask House to change the temperature, turn lights on and off, etc. Check out the post below for full details.
