Animated Countdown Desktop
The ravenclawwit desktop is too pretty to ignore. The clock in the center is a mix of awesome looking cyberpunk and the “ Keep talking and no one explodes” challenge , but now is the time. This is how it all works.
If you want a similar look and feel, you’ll first need Rainmeter, which we outlined earlier as an easy way to bring a little personalization and customization to the Windows desktop.
Once you are familiar with it, here are the other parts you will need to duplicate the look and feel:
- Wallpaper
- Tool setting and monitoring system for Rainmeter for Windows
- Disen skin for clock and temperature (ravenclawwit changed this a bit, fyi)
- Rainmeter Enigma Package for System Monitors and UI Elements
- Classic Shell utility to make the taskbar transparent and change the Start icon
- ClearText Skin for Rainmeter for game info
- Fountain of Colors Skin for Rainmeter for renderer
- System code font to match all text
There aren’t many moving parts, but when they are all connected, they take on a truly dramatic, truly distinctive look. If you’ve dug it up or have questions about how to make this – or a similar look – your own, click on the link below to check out Rvenclawwit Kinja’s desktop post and ask your customization questions!
