Make Homemade Baby Monitor Headphones With Smart Switching
You cannot accurately reproduce your favorite tunes when you have to listen carefully to your baby monitor. This custom build from popular master Ben Heck lets you listen to music while your little one is noisy.
In this episode of Ben Heck’s show, Heck creates several adaptive earbuds that can automatically switch between a music device such as a phone or MP3 player and another audio input using a standard baby monitor. Assembly requires some electronics know-how as well as various circuits and other electronic components. But after you’ve put it all together, you can turn on the music without worrying about the child not hearing. As soon as they make some noise, the channel will automatically switch to them. Once everything is quiet again, the music will resume.
