Add Annotations to Twitter Profiles of People You Follow Using Whodis
Chrome: If you’ve been using Twitter for years and following a lot of people, you may end up losing the idea of who everyone is and why you followed them in the first place. Whodis for Chrome adds the ability to add notes to any profile.
This is more useful if you are the type of person who is obsessed with Twitter, which has thousands of followers (like me). Sometimes that means I’m following an important but little-known person – say, the CEO of a company – who doesn’t necessarily mark their profile as such, and when they pop up with something interesting, I may have forgotten their context by now. Whodis simply lets you add a small personal note to a person’s profile. It could be their contact information, the reason you followed them, whatever – and only you can see it. Sure, this is a power user problem, but it’s a useful little tool to help you deal with a noisy website.
Whodis is still in alpha testing, so it is in early stages of development and is free.
