Remove Sticky Labels From Glass With Any Oil You Have on Hand
Glass jars and bottles can be reused, but the label does not always stay relevant for a long time. Fortunately, the cheapest method to remove a sticker and its sticky glue is also the laziest.
According to Food52, all you need is some butter (literally any butter; even mayonnaise will do), some warm water, and a dishwashing sponge. Just dab some oil on the label, submerge the jar or bottle in warm water and let it sit overnight. The next morning, remove the glassware from the tub and wipe off the label with a dishwashing sponge. Wash with a little soap and water and fill a clean, unlabeled container with whatever you want.
