Will It Be Sous Vide? Let’s Pick a Different Theme!
Greetings sous video enthusiasts and welcome back to yet another session on theme selection forWill It Sous Vide? , a weekly column where I do whatever you want with my immersion circulator.
While I didn’t get the chicken hearts in time for the experiment last week , we ended up doing a pretty good job with the chicken feet, so I’m not really mad at how it all turned out. On Monday, however, the hearts are supposed to be here, so I can either make them for you or freeze them and do something else. (We’ve been eating a bit of meat lately.) Some other non-meat foods we could try:
- Cake: Apparently it can be done, but I don’t know what to do. I would like to know if there are any advantages to the sous vide cake.
- Hungarian Fruit Soup: Sounds amazing.
- Breakfast casserole: This is one of those “always bridesmaid” situations. Maybe it’s time to bake.
If you guys want chicken hearts, I’ll gladly make them. I think what is duck fat confit.
