Make Do-It-Yourself Fire-Starting Tablets From Paper and a Plastic Syringe
Good kindling makes it easy to start any type of fire, be it a barbecue, campfire, or a bonfire under the stars. These compact firelighter tablets are great for kindling and very easy to make.
This YouTube video from MrGear shows you all the steps you need to know. Start by soaking a few sheets of paper in water, then fold them in half and roll them up. When you have a few rolls ready, place them in the plastic syringe tube and press down on the plunger to squeeze out all the water. You are left with a small paper pill that will ignite easily and help you start a fire. Keep some of them at home when you need them and put them in your hiking and camping backpacks when you go outdoors.
