Pixar Adds Storyteller Class to Its Khan Academy Lineup
A couple of years ago, Khan Academy and Pixar teamed up to create Pixar in a Box , a series of courses designed to showcase how Pixar does things. Since launch, they’ve expanded on their original offering a bit and have now added a storytelling section.
As you might expect, the first course is an introduction that explores some of the basic concepts of storytelling, plot building, and world building. Next, we’ll take a closer look at the characters. This joins the already existing suite of free classes at Pixar in a Box, including courses in 3D character modeling , virtual cameras, and color science . Of course, while Pixar has always been great technically, it’s their stories that have often set them apart from the rest, so this new course is a welcome sight.
