Rest of the Day: Leaked Windows 10 Cloud Images Show a More Power-Efficient OS
After references to “Windows Cloud” began to appear in beta versions of the operating system, there were several rumors about a new variant of Windows 10. New screenshots show that this is indeed an optimized version of the OS for low-cost machines. About this and much more in today’s news.
- The leaked screenshots on WindowsBlogItalia show a minimal version of Windows 10 that can only run Universal Apps from the Windows Store, as previously reported by ZDNet . This makes it look like the old Windows RT and possibly a competitor to Chrome OS for low-spec PCs. However, the language shown in the screenshots (“This version of Windows was built to help you protect …”) suggests that you are targeting the educational or corporate market. A new feature called Get to Know People shows you people who work for the same company as you, who are going to the same events, or who are just nearby.
