Google Recipe Search Adds Suggestions, Flavor Categories and More
Starting today, when you search for recipes using Google Search, you can quickly narrow your search down to recommended categories, as well as get suggestions for recipes.
Whether you’re looking for the perfect big game buffalo wing recipe or looking for a few dips that won’t ruin your waistline, Google’s new recipe search features can help you make your searches a little easier. When you search for a recipe, you will see two carousels at the top of the search page. The first uses keywords to narrow down the type of recipe you want. For example, if you were looking for chicken wing recipes, you would get flavor options such as honey, buffalo, sweet, and cooking methods such as slow cooker and oven roasted.
The second carousel gives you a preview of the most popular recipes that match your search criteria, so you can quickly scroll through them and find the one you like best. You can try this on your mobile browser or on the Google Android and iOS app .
