Desktop Antarctic Scenery
Reader Sayfali has introduced desktops in our Desktop Showcase before, but this one looks fresh and we love it. If you dig it up too – or just an Antarctic landscape in it – here’s how you can do the same on your computer.
Saifali uses Rainmeter to get this look, and we’ve just updated our guide to setting up your Windows PC with Rainmeter if you’d like to try it yourself. This is a great tutorial to help you learn the ins and outs of the app and start creating a desktop that you can share with us!
Once you’ve done that, here’s what you’ll need:
- Desktop wallpapers Antarctica Google Earth
- Tool setting and monitoring system for Rainmeter for Windows
- Rainmeter Enigma Package for Now Playing Widget, Calendar Widget and Weather Widgets
- The Aperture Labs Information Leather marks for clock and date display in center.
That’s it – there aren’t many moving parts, but it’s really good nonetheless. If you’ve dug it up or have questions about it, head over to Saifali Kinja’s blog (link below) and ask. Sing your praises while you do it!
Do you have a beautiful and functional desktop to show off? Share with us! Post it to your personal Kinja blog using the Desktop Showcase tag or add it to our Lifehacker Desktop Show and Tell Flickr pool . Screenshots must be at least 1280×720 and include information about what you used, links to wallpapers, skins and themes, and any other important information. If your wonderful desktop catches our attention, you may be on our favorites!
