Where Is Your Tax Refund? This Tool Will Tell You
Tax Day is April 18 this year, so you have a few extra days to file your tax return. If you have already paid taxes, you are either more responsible than me, or you get your money back. If it’s the latter and you still haven’t received your refund, the IRS has a tool to help you track it down.
You can find the IRS tool ” Where is my refund?” Here . It should be available 24 hours after they received your electronic return or four weeks after they received your return in the mail. The tool tracks the milestones of your return: Received, Approved, and Sent.
According to the IRS, 90% of refunds are processed in 21 days or less, but in some cases it can take longer. To find out more, see their press release on this matter.
