If you feel like long headline episodes are getting in the way of your epic nightly overeating, Netflix is trying to help you. Now you can skip the intro to some of the service’s most popular TV shows.
This feature is currently only available on the Netflix web platform, but its introduction could mean that Netflix plans to implement it in its apps in the future. It is available for most Netflix originals, including House of Cards and the recently released Iron Fist , but The Verge notes that it has also been seen on side shows like Mad Men. The new Skip Intro feature is available even for some cold open shows or story teasers shown before a headline sequence such as Office .
Personally, I love the headlines on most of the shows as they set the mood. I also really like the theme songs from TV shows 90% of the time. But in the past, I definitely got annoyed with them when I watched shows with very long introductions that seemed boring. Will you be missing the intro?
