Use Kale Kernels to Make Delicious Pies and Pickles

Most kale recipes require you to core and discard (or compost), but that’s crazy. According to Epicurious, the cabbage pith “is a crunchy, radish-like vegetable portion worth eating your own,” and they have several delicious options for that.

Not only can you eat it raw – just chop and serve with the sauce – but you can also marinate it , puree it into a soup, or fry it in tempura-style batter. Plus, there’s no reason why you can’t just cut it into matchsticks and use it to add size to a paw. You can never have too much twisting on your shoulder blade.
