Explosive Power Workout You Can Do During Your Lunch Break
Get up from the table! It does not take a lot of time. Welcome to Lunch Break Workout, where every Wednesday we’ll run a short workout that you can do almost anywhere, with little or no equipment.
Why at lunchtime? You already have a break, so why not add a quick workout to it ? We promise to be brief – 15 minutes or less. Exercising during the day will help you feel more energized and prevent your daytime slump. Today, Crystal Richardson will lead us through ten minutes of explosive strength exercises, but don’t be alarmed! The moves are simple. At one point, she grabs a pair of lightweight dumbbells, but says it’s no problem if you don’t have them.
After a quick warm-up, each exercise lasts one full minute. If you are tired during this minute – I did it! – just stop, take one or two deep breaths and jump back. By the time she gets to the plank / push-up exercise, I poop, so I just did the planks for a few seconds at a time.
By the end, I was sweating a little, but a few wet wipes won’t fix anything. And I felt great! So try this and come back to workout next Wednesday for your next lunch break.
