This Application Can Choose the Best Photos for You
Android: If your phone is running low on storage, you can start deleting some low quality photos from your phone or creating backups using an app like Google Photos . Photo app EyeEm announced an update on Wednesday that uses artificial intelligence to select your best photos.
While EyeEm is basically a place where photographers sell their photos, this feature can be useful for determining which photos to post to other social media and for sorting the photos you should delete.
EyeEm Selects is only available for Android users, but the company plans to add this feature to iPhone apps in the next update. EyeEm has already created a similar app called The Roll for iOS. Roll ranks your photos and adds keywords to them to make it easier for you to search for photos. The app has since been discontinued in the US, but many of its features are available on EyeEm Selects.
Picking the best photos from your photostream isn’t exactly a new feature. Google Photos has a similar feature, and Gallery Doctor is an app that detects bad or duplicate photos.
EyeEm has a collection of photos hosted using EyeEm Selects. The album contains artsy landscape photos, but there are also low-quality selfies, and, oddly enough, there is a photo of eggs with the Bible quote inserted above .
It’s not a robust feature, but it allows you to revert to old photos you forgot to post, and it’s a useful tool when you’re unsure or don’t want to sort all your photos.
