Find Pride Events in Your Area Using Google Maps

Pride month is in full swing and Google Maps makes it easy to find or navigate your local pride events.

Throughout the remainder of June, Google Maps will display the locations and routes of all pride parades in 35 cities around the world , including San Francisco, Rome, New York, Paris, Chicago, Sao Paulo, Houston and others. Google Maps will also dynamically redirect all drivers around event venues.

Regardless of whether you use Google Maps on Android or iOS, on the day of the event, you will see the parade routes highlighted in bright colors of the rainbow. If you click on it, you will see an event card that will give you additional information, such as a description of the holidays, the hours of the event, and an estimate of how much traffic will be nearby. Non-parade events will be marked with a special pride badge and will also provide additional information when clicked. This small update is a useful tool for those looking to celebrate the month of Pride, as well as for those who just want to bypass blocked roads and avoid heavy traffic. This is n’t the first time Google has done this , but it looks like they’ve expanded their reach.
