This New App Sets You up for Blind Dates – No Need to Swipe or Send Messages
Have you ever wanted to go on a date with a stranger without texting him ahead of time? Me too, but first of all , the new dating app launched today wants this to happen.
Unlike Tinder and Bumble, there is no swipe. Instead, people connect First to their Facebook accounts and search for published dates in the public feed.
People can search for dates by categories such as movies, food and drinks. There’s even a search option by who pays (including the 50/50 split option).
Users who post dates then pick from those with an interest in the area (although, since date ideas indicate time and place, nothing can stop someone else from ripping off your date).
The date closes four hours earlier than the set time. There are no messages or exchange of contact information from there. Users can flex twice but are banned after that.
As with Uber, users are secretly ranked according to their dates. People who go on multiple successful dates (according to their ratings) are then verified by a check mark next to their names.
Truman Kane, the 25-year-old founder, launched the app because “he hates wasting time and wants to simplify and improve efficiency in many areas, the first of which is dating.” (Note: Obama follows him on Twitter .)
Since the app is brand new, it is only available for iOS and there are not many dates to choose from here. However, the former may be more effective for dating people, since a third of online dating has never met anyone in real life . However, this amount of dating can be quite expensive ( the average single person in America spent $ 1,596 on dates last year ).
