Convert Streaming Video to Audio Files With This App
I prefer relaxing music, oddly enough, incredibly long videos on Youtube. I love to take a nap to the soft hum of theUSS Enterprise from Star Trek, or a 12-hourfan recording .
Now I use my phone for listening more than my computer, and I miss the strange buzzing sounds. But Softorino YouTube Converter 2 (SYC2), a video converting app, makes it incredibly easy to transfer those videos to my computer, phone, or straight to iTunes.
Extract videos from almost anywhere
SYC2 is a desktop video conversion tool that takes videos from over 50 supported sites like Facebook, Youtube and Vimeo, or audio files from Soundcloud, and converts them to various file formats.
You can add videos to SYC2 by copying the video or playlist url from your web browser; it can handle everything from Soundcloud tracks to entire Youtube video playlists. There is also a built-in browser that allows you to paste in a URL and select it from the app.
SYC2 provides three conversion options: video, audio and ringtone. The video conversion can handle files up to 4K, up to 360p. Audio conversion lets you choose from MP3, AAC and “original” audio. Ringtone selection allows you to create either full-length or 30-second recordings.
You can save them to your desktop, iPhone, iPod, or transfer to iTunes. The process is incredibly simple. Select your URL, wait for it to recognize the video or audio source, and choose the conversion option.
Fast, colorful transformations
SYC2 takes care of any task quickly. Converting an hour-long YouTube video to MP3 took less than two minutes. I decided to supplement it with a playlist of 249 tracks from the video game soundtrack. It took less than 15 minutes to convert them all to MP3 files and add them to iTunes and my phone. Your internet connection may affect the conversion speed, but I found it to be incredibly fast. whether it’s wifi or my wired connection.
SYC2 tries to decorate the converted file with album art made from still video, a nice touch that’s better than working with a bunch of converted files and all with no album faces.
SYC2 costs $ 20, but it’s a bit pricey, but offers a 24-hour free, fully functional trial before it asks you to pay. Its fast conversion, simple interface and thoughtful design choices make it a great option for easy converting or making ringtones. In addition, I will pay if it means that I no longer have to visit another site to convert the video with ads.
