How to Rearrange or Remove Home Screens in IOS 15

Trying to update your iPhone home screen layout? Luckily for you, iOS 15 makes it easy . Now you can easily change the order of the home screen pages and even hide or delete the entire home screen very quickly. Here’s how to quickly customize your iOS 15 home screens.

How to change the order of home screen pages in iOS 15

On your iPhone, press and hold an empty space on any page on the home screen until the app icons start to wiggle. Now touch the row of dots visible above the dock. This will show you thumbnails of all the home screen pages on your iPhone. Hold and drag any Home screen thumbnail to reposition it on the Home screen slider. When you’re done reordering, click the Done button in the top right corner and enjoy your new layout.

How to hide home screen pages in iOS 15

If you’re tired of multiple home screen pages but aren’t ready to delete them entirely yet, iOS 15 lets you hide them. Tap again on any empty area on the home screen until the app icons begin to wiggle, and tap the row of dots above the dock. When you see thumbnails of all of the home screen pages, click on the checkmark below any of them that you want to hide. Click Finish to confirm this change.

Hidden home screen pages will still show up on the thumbnail page, so you can go back to them and tap the circle under any thumbnail to check it out and display that screen again. Remember, unverified home screen page thumbnails indicate hidden pages, and checked thumbnails indicate open home screens.

How to delete home screen pages in iOS 15

If you want to quickly delete an entire home screen page in iOS 15, go to the home screen editor page as described above. On this page, tap the check mark below any thumbnail of a home screen page. When not installed, click the minus sign in the upper left corner of the thumbnail. You will see a confirmation popup where you can click Remove to remove the home screen and move the apps to the App Library. Unfortunately, all of your fancy iOS widgets will also be removed, so you should move them to a different home screen first if you want to avoid manually re-adding them.

How to Prevent Recently Installed Apps from Displaying on iOS 15 Home Screen

The most important step to keeping a clean layout on your iPhone is to send any recently installed apps to the App Library instead of the Home screen, then make only the ones you use the most easily accessible. By default, all apps are displayed on the home screen, which creates endless clutter on the pages. Change this by going to Settings> Home Screen and selecting App Library Only under Recently Downloaded Apps. If you can’t find your new app in the app library (accessible by swiping all home screens and then last scrolling), you can always swipe down from any home screen to open the app search bar. … Also, if you long press on any app icon from the app library, you can add it to your home screen.
