Netflix Is Now Worth a Dollar or Two More
Netflix is raising prices by two of its three streaming tiers . The mid-range plan, which lets you stream HD to two devices at the same time, will grow from $ 9.99 per month to $ 10.99 per month. High plan with 4K streaming across four devices simultaneously will jump from $ 11.99 to $ 13.99. The cheapest plan (one screen, standard definition) still costs $ 7.99.
New subscriptions are pricing higher today, but existing subscriptions will not be priced until the next billing cycle after October 19th. So if that boost is too much for you, you may have time to grab a Stranger Things Season 2 snack before quitting.
This rent hike is easier than the previous one, which took place over two years , first for new subscribers, then for old ones. But it’s on the same scale: On average, each year of the dual-screen plan costs $ 12 more than the previous one. Cheaper than HBO Now anyway.
