It’s as fun as it sounds, but extremely challenging. You also won’t win money if you don’t answer all the questions correctly. So if you’re having trouble, we’re here to help with tips to help you win real money with HQ.
Invite all your friends to play
The easiest way to get an edge in HQ is to get an extra life, and the easiest way to get extra lives is to invite your friends. To do this, simply open the app when the game is not in progress and click the “Invite” button in the lower left corner – or simply ask your friends to register in the app under your username.
Hold on after you lose
It is tempting to close an app in a fit of annoyance as soon as you get the wrong answer, but it’s worth leaving it open if you can. Not only will you get a better sense of what kind of quizzes await you in the future, but you can also win an extra life. Headquarters sometimes offers everyone who plays and watches a prize box that can bring you extra life (or it can be empty).
Turn on notifications
Headquartered trivia happens every day at 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm ET, but it’s still easy to forget if you’re distracted. So just enable notifications and the app will notify you every time a new game starts. The more games you play, the higher your chances of winning, so this is not a problem.
To play with friends
HQ trivia covers a ton of different topics, from technology and theater to sports and science, so it’s good to have a bunch of people playing together. Not only will someone in the room know the answer, it is more likely that if one person gets kicked out, the whole group still has a chance to win some money.
Be careful with what you say in the comments.
HQ has a dynamic comment section that is almost impossible to keep track of, but don’t assume your rude joke or insult will go unnoticed. I’ve seen players get banned in the middle of a round, so you better keep that to yourself.
Moreover, you can completely disable comments – in any case, they just distract from the real little things. Swipe right through the comment section to make it disappear. If you change your mind, you can always swipe left to bring it back.
