Socks are a great example of a bad holiday gift from an indifferent giver (or a relative who doesn’t really know you), but if you ask me, that’s an unjustified reputation. If you’re in cold climates, you wear thick ones every day, but chances are you don’t have 10, 15, or even seven pairs to last through your wash cycle. If you have an office job and you need a lot of socks, and if you are an athlete you may need special socks (I recently bought soft running socks and they changed my life, or at least my legs), the list goes on. on the. And none of these socks come cheap.
Practical socks. Practicality isn’t always fun, shiny, or sexy, which means it can be disappointing if left under the Christmas tree. For some, Christmas is a good excuse to ask for some luxury items that they really can’t afford or don’t want to “spend” on during the year, and that’s okay too. But practical things like socks can save you money, which is a great gift.
