How to Fix the Error That You Can’t Share Apple Music to Instagram
If you listen to a lot of music, you might want to share your tastes with all your friends by posting these ringtones on your Instagram Stories. Unfortunately, this method may seem closed lately due to a bug – when you go to share a song from Apple Music, the Instagram option is not displayed. Fortunately, there is a workaround you can use to get it back.
Usually, when you are about to share a song from Apple Music to Instagram, you click the ellipsis next to the song title, click Share Song , then select the Instagram icon that appears on the sharing sheet. However, some people do not see the Instagram icon in this menu; without this option, there is no obvious way to launch the story sharing tool.
Bypass Apple Music Bug and Share on Instagram
It is not clear yet if there is a fix at this time, there is a clear workaround. Follow the same initial steps as you always did: tap the ellipsis, then tap Share Song . When the shared sheet appears, scroll all the way to the right in the list of apps and select More . Here you should see Instagram as an option. Click on it and you will find your usual tools for sharing the song with your story.
It is not clear when this error appeared and why it is here at all. Also, it looks like it’s not limited to just one iOS version; there are reports of users experiencing this error in both the iOS 15 beta and official builds of iOS 14. Whatever happens, it affects many different iPhones and may be related to Instagram itself.
If a future Instagram or iOS update fixes the issue, we will add that information to this article.
