Everything Your Google Home Can Do Is Now Listed on One Incredibly Useful Website

If you bought Google Home during the holidays, you might be wondering what it is for besides checking the weather and playing music. Google’s smart speakers don’t boast as many third-party skills as Amazon Alexa , but there is still a lot you can do.

With that in mind, Google has created a new page where you can find everything its AI Assistant is capable of. According to Google, there are “over 1 million things to try,” but for the sake of simplicity, the list is broken down into categories like Home Management, Games and Entertainment, and Productivity. The home page also points out new and popular skills, as well as a search bar in case you still can’t find what you’re looking for.

A quick scan of the page showed that I could ask my Google Home Mini, “What is my position in Quidditch?” play a game about Harry Potter . If you’re looking for something more useful, you can say, “Ask my crypto wallet how much bitcoin is worth,” to find out the current price of a popular cryptocurrency, or check local wind conditions by asking, “How windy?”

The latter never crossed my mind before, but it will be a lifesaver in the next few months of harsh New York winter weather. If you’re still not satisfied, head over to Google’s new website to see what else your home speaker can do.
