How the error works
Similar to other errors before it , this one causes your device to crash when it receives a certain bit of text. In this case, it is the only symbol of the Indian Telugu language. When the message arrives, it automatically crashes Springboard (the software that controls your home screen), causing the device to reboot.
After that, your device will work, but you will not be able to open the Destination Application. Instead, Apple’s software will get stuck in a cycle of try and fail to load that single symbol.

According to The Verge , the bug affects the Apple Messages app on iOS, as well as third-party apps like WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and even Gmail. It can also attack Mac computers through the Safari desktop applications and Messages.
How to fix it
If someone is using this error to crash your phone, there are several ways to deal with it, depending on which app they were using. Apple Messages is the hardest to handle, but the solution isn’t too bad. All you have to do is ask a friend to send you a text message (or wait until it comes naturally). This should allow you to go back to the application and remove the thread that caused your device to crash.
If the attacker has used some other application, it is even easier to fix it. According to The Verge, you will be able to disable these apps without the help of a friend. Once this is done, you are back in business.
