30 Best Films No Longer Than 90 Minutes
Just when you thought blockbuster movies could no longer be, the lovely folks at Universal Pictures announced the timing of the next long-delayed entry from the James Bond series. When it opens in the US in October, No Time to Die will keep viewers in their seats for two hours and 43 minutes. Pretty epic for a spy caper. No Bond movie has been short , mind you: Quantum of Solace , the shortest movie in the series’s history, is 106 minutes long; Spectrum 2015 is the second longest – 158 minutes. And Bond is not even an exception among modern franchises: The Avengers Endgame lasted 182 minutes, and Star Wars: Skywalker – 155 minutes. Everyone seems to think they’re David Lin these days and that every action movie is Lawrence of Arabia. Long films are sometimes good, but length is not always (or even often) the judge of quality. This is about to become meaningful.
