Don’t Let Daylight Saving Time Ruin Your Trip Abroad
By now, you’ve probably already heard that Daylight Saving Time is starting in the United States today. You may not realize that the United States is not the only country with daylight saving time, and not everyone is doing it tonight.
Today’s time change has affected the United States, much of Mexico, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Cuba, the Turks and Caicos Islands, and parts of Canada.
However, if you are in Europe, you “jump ahead” on March 25 at 1 am, Travel and Leisure notes .
The countries of the southern hemisphere are actually retreating, and we are striving forward. Brazil is already back an hour, Chile will make the change on May 13, and Australia and New Zealand on April 1.
If you have international travel plans in the near future, it is worth noting when these temporary changes occur. Your phone may not automatically switch to the correct time, especially if you have just arrived in town for a transfer and you may have problems if you do not pay attention.

I am actually flying back from Europe next Sunday morning when the time change occurs. Hopefully my hotel would warn me, but it would be too easy not to realize and show up too late for my 9am flight home.
