One-Handed Web Browsing With Opera’s New One Touch Browser for Android
Opera this week released a new web browser that makes it easy to browse the web on your phone with one hand.
In general, most mobile web browsers store controls at the top of the screen, which is great, except that if you want to do something like changing tabs, you probably have to use more than one hand to make it happen. …
One Touch is specially designed for one-handed use and offers quick access to frequently used websites.
When you are on a website, a button with three lines appears at the bottom of the screen. Click on it and it will open your top sites for easy navigation elsewhere and give you a voice search. This is certainly not a huge design change, but after a few days of use, I found that it actually makes my web browsing experience smoother.
The app also offers a new feature called Flow, with which you can send the website you are viewing on your mobile device to your desktop. It really does look like what’s already available in competing browsers, and it’s something you probably won’t likely use unless you’re already a user of the Opera browser on your desktop.
A new version of Opera for One Touch is now available for Android . The iOS version is a job.
