Use This Simple Url to Manage IOS Subscriptions
Apple doesn’t make it easy to figure out which apps you’ve signed up for iOS- move figures . In fact, just remembering where to go to see your subscriptions (and cancel them if necessary) usually requires a trip to your favorite search engine. Or at least it was.
Ryan Jones, a former Apple employee and now the founder of the upcoming Flighty app , did what Apple had to do about when subscriptions first hit the App Store.
The usual advice applies: When you use someone’s redirect URL, make sure it takes you to the right place – ideally, to the App Store app of your macOS or iOS device – and not to some sketchy website. similar to the App Store site. Subscriptions page.
At the time of this writing, Jones’ redirection was legal and made it incredibly easy to manage your subscriptions. Without it, this is an annoying process that you use to find the same subscription settings on iOS:
- Open the App Store
- Click on your icon in the upper right corner
- Click on your name
- Log in to your account settings
- Scroll down and tap Subscriptions.
Or if you want to have fun:
- Open the Settings app.
- Click on your name
- Click on “iTunes & App Store”.
- Click on the Apple ID box
- Click View Apple ID
- Scroll down and tap Subscriptions.
If you would like to create your own redirect, we would prefer Jones’ friendly url, which simply resolves as https://buy.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/DirectAction/manageSubscriptions .
