Always Remember When to Water Your Plants Using This App
As for the plants, I get exactly one thing: kill them. As I write this, there is a small tree on my desk, which, as I noticed, is covered with a little dust, and I don’t think it has been watered in … a month? Maybe more. And I look at it EVERYONE. DAY.
Waterbug is an app for people like me who have no control over the care of the plants but still want to own the plants. With the app, you take a photo of your indoor plants and then set a watering schedule for them.
For example, this guy on my desk doesn’t need to be watered every day, but he will probably drink water once a week. If you’re not entirely sure when to water what you have (of course, I don’t know), there is also a library of plant care tips to help you figure out everything from when and how much to water to how to prune it or control pests.
Once you set up a schedule, the app will remind you to water specific plants when it’s time to water. Once you tell the app that you’ve done your job, the timer will reset for the next watering (so if I’m three days late, I won’t overflow my green friend when his initial scheduled watering comes).
It’s really like the idea of all those trackers that were popular a few years ago that you physically put in your plant pot, except that it doesn’t have any hardware other than your phone.
