How to Find Out How Many Stops to Delivery on Amazon

Now, instead of knowing that your Amazon package will arrive “before 8 pm,” you can track its location in real time and know exactly how many stops the delivery driver has to make before it arrives at your doorstep. This is thanks to a new Amazon feature called Map Tracking.

Amazon officially launched Map Tracking late last year to a small number of users and is gradually rolling it out to others. It will introduce the feature to all of its customers in the United States this week, CNET reported .

With this feature, tracking your package works much the same as it always does until it hits the delivery driver’s truck. When your package is within 10 stops of delivery, Amazon will send you a notification informing you that you can see your delivery driver on the tracking map.

A 10-stop warning will definitely not stop you from staying at home all day to make sure you don’t miss a package, but it might be a good warning that now is the time to get your pants on because your delivery is about to arrive.

Plus, if you need to get away on a fast errand, it can offer a bit of peace of mind, as you won’t miss out on your package when you do. And if you are not at home, this is a great signal that it’s time to order it home.

It’s worth noting that this requires a bit of human interaction – your driver will have to tell you when he will send each package before yours, and I am guessing that the number “10 stops” is 10 stops of tracked packages. While I have a lot of trust in some people who deliver packages to my home, others (looking at you, USPS) don’t, so your experience may be different.
