Keep Track of Everything on the Clipboard With the Clipy App for Mac

Mac: How would we do not like , Clipy is not a version of Clippy for MacOS , this little animated clip for the securities the Windows, which asks how are things with you and provides helpful tips in life. It’s a must-have utility that will make your macOS clipboard ten times more powerful if there was any way to measure such things.

Actually, it seems. When you install Clipy, the utility keeps a historical record of your various copy commands. No longer will you be limited to pasting the very last item you copied, tapping with two fingers on the laptop trackpad, clicking and holding the Control key, or using the good old ⌘ + C keys, just to name a few.

Instead, when you copy items on macOS, they are now added to the item list in Clipy, which is grouped in blocks of ten by default. If you want to insert something from this story, you simply add one additional key to your usual insert command: ⌘ + Shift + V. A context menu will appear where you can select from your history what you want to insert, and that’s it. ready. And if you just want to paste the very last thing you copied, the regular ⌘ + V key will do it – no additional action is required.

If you don’t like having voluminous historical records of your copying, you can use the app settings to limit the size of your history (the default is limited to 30). If you don’t like the shortcuts you use to view your story, you can change them as well. You can even edit the app icon in the status bar or remove it entirely.

More importantly, Clipy lets you create permanent elements that you can insert when you need them. These “snippets,” as they call them, can also have their own hotkeys to make it easier to quickly enter the same phrase or instruction over and over again.

Clipy is an insanely powerful clipboard management tool that could very well keep its name – just so good.
