Snooze Tabs You Want to Read Later With This Browser Extension

During a typical work day, I usually come across at least a few things that I want to look at, but I don’t really have time for that at this point.

Sometimes I see something advertised that I might want to buy, but I want to do some more research first. Sometimes it’s a vacation photo of a friend on Facebook, or an interesting piece of news that a colleague tweeted.

I use the Facebook and Twitter save feature and also bookmarks (for a while I even had a page in Notes on my computer that was just links to things), but all of these methods are based on the same thing: you check them out later …

In truth, 90% of the things that I “save” for later viewing I manage to completely forget, only to find them after a few days, weeks, and sometimes months later, when I return to where I saved them to find something else.

Snooze Tabby is an extension for Chrome and Firefox that allows you to snooze those tabs until later, meaning they will reappear on their own and remind you to check them out. You can snooze tabs from 10 minutes to a month from the moment you snooze them, and you can also set your own dates and times.

When you install it, you will have a moon icon at the top of your browser toolbar. Click on the moon while you’re looking at the tab you want to snooze and a box will appear allowing you to choose what time you want it to appear again.

It’s a reliable, quick and easy way to save what you want to watch without wasting too much time, and it removes all those “I’ll look at this later” tabs from your desktop. I may or may not have 30 or more open before I installed this.
