How to Remove Items From Your Netflix Browsing History

Your Netflix browsing history can be both a blessing and a curse. An app that keeps track of what you’ve watched in the past helps it make more informed suggestions about what you should watch in the future when you’re bored and need help making a decision, and can also help you remember the name You stumbled upon this one by accident amazing movie two weeks ago.

On the other hand, it can also remind all of your friends what you spent yesterday afternoon participating in a full blown marathon of dolls.

Sometimes we all watch something that we wouldn’t want to broadcast if we didn’t have to. Whether it’s a movie that bothers you a little that you liked, or a movie that you had to wait to watch with your partner and couldn’t wait for his weeklong work trip.

CNET noted this week that if you need to keep some of your browsing history low, you can actually remove individual items from it.

Removing this is easy: go to the My Activities page on the Netflix website by clicking this link, and then click the X next to any shows you would rather not show up in the search.

Pressing the X will remove your selected item from the browsing activity on all devices “within 24 hours,” which means you’ll want to do it sooner rather than later. If you’ve selected an episode in a series, Netflix will also offer you the option to batch delete the entire series from your memory with just one click.
