How to Pre-Order the Samsung Galaxy Note 9
On Thursday, Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy Note 9, the latest smartphone designed for stylus welding. This year’s model starts at $ 999.99 for the 128GB model and $ 1,249.99 for the 512GB version.
If you want it, it’s likely in your best interest to move quickly. The phone will officially be available for pre-order at 12:01 pm ET on August 10 (or at 9:01 pm today for us West Coast residents). Here’s how to do it:
Samsung
In general, it’s always best to buy an unlocked phone directly from the manufacturer rather than through a carrier, and Samsung offers the Note 9 on its website . While you might miss out on some carrier-specific discounts, unlocked phones purchased directly from the manufacturer are not carrier-tied, which means you can use them with other SIMs when traveling without bumping into this. a huge fee if you decide to ditch your current carrier for someone new in the future. You also won’t get bogged down in carrier-specific applications.
Samsung sells the Note 9 through its website both unlocked and through a carrier. By pre-ordering through Samsung, you can get one of two free gifts: a pair of AKG noise canceling headphones (worth $ 299) or 15,000 V-Bucks (worth about $ 150), which is Fortnite’s in-game currency that you can play on phone. If you can’t choose, you can buy both for $ 99 at checkout.
Samsung also offers some discounts if you want to exchange your current smartphone, which vary depending on what device it is, but range from $ 200 to $ 450 for the latest models.
Verizon
Verizon offers the same terms and conditions as Samsung , with a few differences. The biggest bonus when buying directly from Verizon is if you want two Galaxy phones instead of one. Verizon will refund your money for the second device within 24 payments, which essentially makes the second device free.
Otherwise, you’ll still get the same free pre-order gifts, plus the option to get both for $ 99.
AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular
None of these carriers have released specific instructions for pre-ordering the phone yet, but they will offer it, and probably with the same freebies and prices that you see directly from Verizon and Samsung.
If you have one of the aforementioned carriers, you can pre-order through the Samsung website starting at 12:01 pm ET. Chances are also good that the phone will be available through the websites of these operators – we just don’t have this information yet. If you’d prefer to shop from one of these operators, visit their site first at 12:01 pm and then head over to Samsung’s site if you check out.
