What’s in Store for and Out of Netflix in the Week of August 6, 2018
May I recommend you watch The Dumbbells Club ? It depends on how desperate you are to stay home this week, because things don’t look so good on the Netflix dossier. The best thing that happens if you’re constitutionally suspicious of the Netflix originals (and who isn’t) is the terrifying No Country for Old Men , which hits Saturday.
Otherwise, you’re looking at Demetri Martin and his drawings on Twitter ( Demetri Martin: Too Much Thought ) on Friday. In Martin’s new special, he’s supposedly pondering “donut holes, dogs, sports bars, the most aggressive letters of the alphabet, and more,” which sounds a little funny!
The million-pound menu looks like Shark Tank meets Kitchen Nightmares, which might not be as soothing as The Great British Bake Off , but might make it a worthy drinker. If not, may I suggest you at least try The Handmaid’s Tale? Yes, it’s on Hulu, but you can probably scare the password. I swear it is as good as they say.
