How to Use Twitter’s New Traffic Saver Feature on Your Phone

At this point, most of us have an “unlimited” mobile phone plan, so for the most part it doesn’t matter how much data the apps use on our phone. You don’t need an app that uses massive amounts of data all the time (most of these “unlimited” plans can end up in slower speeds), but something like Twitter or Facebook isn’t going to move the needle too far.

However, if you are traveling somewhere where there is little internet or the price of it is increased (or you just have a limited data plan), then these applications can greatly affect your bill. Both Twitter and Facebook already have Lite versions for data-conscious users, and Twitter has now built persistence into its traditional app.

To use this feature, you first need to download the latest version of the Twitter app for iOS or Android.

From there, you need to go to the app’s settings menu to enable this feature. You can get here by clicking on your profile picture and then choosing “Settings & Privacy” from the menu that appears.

From there, select “Data Usage” and then check the box next to “Data Saving” on the next page.

Enabling this feature will cause the videos to not play automatically (generally a good thing if you ask me) and the images were loaded at a lower quality than usual.

If you don’t want to hide it, you can also go into the customization for pictures and videos on the same page and adjust your settings so that you can receive high quality content over Wi-Fi and lower quality pictures over your mobile phone. data connection.

It’s not something everyone wants, but if your data is at a premium, this is a good option.
