How to Donate to Toddler Toys Using Alexa
You can now use Alexa to gift toys. Amazon on Tuesday unveiled a new feature for its virtual assistant that lets you donate a toy to a child in need, saying, “Alexa, donate toys for kids.” When you do, Alexa will prompt you to buy real toys to send to your organization.
Once you make your selection, Amazon will send your gift directly to Toys for Tots. Like any order, you can track the delivery and know when it arrives at its destination, TechCrunch reports .
If you’ve already thought about making a donation to an organization, then this feature can certainly make things easier. Instead of ordering an item and then personally delivering it to a pick-up point near you, you can delete the step by doing it this way.
You will also have a little more value: Amazon is collecting donations for Toys for Tots up to December 31, worth up to $ 100,000. So instead of only donating one Monopoly game, you will actually be responsible for submitting two games to the organization.
The new Toys for Babies feature builds on the philanthropic donation feature already available in Alexa . With this feature, you can donate between $ 5 and $ 5,000 to organizations like the American Cancer Society and St. Jude using your voice. You can view the full list of supported charities here .
