Cold Broth Concentrate – Your Thanksgiving Morning Hero
Thanksgiving morning can be weird if you’re the host. You wake up with a fair amount of work to do, and there are often a lot of people hanging around fiddling with your coffee maker. This is where cold drink concentrate comes in.
Cold Brew Concentrate is a helper for several reasons, the main one being that the coffee is already brewed , so you don’t need to brew coffee with a pot or, worse, teach your dad to use the airpress. (It’s pretty tasty too; I like Trader Joe’s brand, but Chameleon and Secret Squirrel are also good.) It can also be served hot or cold (just diluted with hot or cold water), which means you can like normal people who like hot coffee in the morning and weirdos like me drinking iced coffee even if there’s a lot of snow outside the door.
For maximum convenience and minimal guest control, set up a small coffee station with concentrate bottles, mugs and cups, a jug of cold water, an ice bucket, and an electric kettle (which you can purchase for $ 15 at Target ). Also include cream and sugar, and a small card with dilution instructions if you don’t want your guests to drink the concentrate directly, letting them hear the sound.
