Kir Péttilant – the Perfect New Year’s Drink
Call me simple, but I love New Years Eve. Whether you’re dancing yourself cleanly or just hanging out at a house party, dressing in shiny, shiny clothes and drinking shiny, shiny drinks, it’s fun as hell. Kir Péttilant are not only as trendy and festive as they appear, they are very easy to make and look amazing in photos.
In fact, it’s just a three-ingredient cocktail. All you need is some buttercream, sparkling wine, and a strip of lemon zest for garnish. If you want to indulge yourself, grab a Champagne and go for Kir Royale, but I’m not a huge fan of mixing anything with good champagne. To make this elegant and colorful, slightly sweet and fruity libation, you will need:
- 1 teaspoon butter cream
- Sparkling wine or champagne
- Lemon zest
Pour the liqueur into a champagne glass and pour over the chilled sparkling wine. Squeeze the oil from the zest into the flute and hang the strip by the edge. Raise a toast to yourself for having lived through this year, take a festive sip, and repeat as needed.
