How to Know If the Latest Facebook Error Has Been in Your Photos

On Friday, Facebook reported that the bug had uncovered photos uploaded to the social network.

The bug was related to the Facebook Photos API and was giving third-party apps access to photos that they would not normally have access to. In particular, most third-party apps are only given access to photos that you upload to your timeline, but the bug also gave them access to photos that you might have shared through Facebook Stories or Marketplace.

The bug only existed for about two weeks, but affected 6.8 million people using the service and up to 1,500 apps that were created by 876 developers.

While this isn’t nearly as bad as stealing your credit card information, it’s not ideal and has affected a lot of people.

If you’re wondering if you were one of them, Facebook has created a page that users can go to and see if their photos have been displayed.

To check your account, click here when you are logged into your account. If you get hurt (luckily there was no time for me!), On this page you will see instructions on what to do.
