The Adult’s Guide to Child Culture: Are There Squid Game Video Games?
You have to support young players – they want to play the Squid Game video game, and instead of waiting for it to appear, they are doing it themselves.
Squid Game: A Video Game?
There is no official Squid Game , but every gamer wants to play it. Join the modding community. Thanks to these talented hobbyist game designers, Squid Game rip-0s have appeared on all major moddable platforms. You can play the version ofRoblox ,Grand Theft Auto ,Minecraft, and evenAnimal Crossing .
I didn’t have a chance to try, but judging by the video, everyone has something to recommend. The GTA has the necessary gore and violence. I really like the idea of Minecraft allowing players to act as managers. And everything about Animal Crossing is amazing.
When the official games come out – this is inevitable – I predict they won’t be as popular as these fan-made fakes.
Fake Call “Slap the Teacher” Gains Traction
Last week I told you about ” Slap the Teacher, ” a supposed viral trend in which children post videos of them hitting teachers. The trend is picking up steam this week.
Not a tendency for students to hit teachers, but a tendency for adults to become hysterically afraid that students will beat teachers. The California Teachers’ Association has issued a warning to administrators and parents across the state, in Connecticut, the attorney general wants to speak with a TikTok manager, and educators continue to post vaguely threatening videos urging kids to spank them.
Several sources point to the obvious : This is all fake, but drowned out by broader voices that do not verify the facts. Seriously folks: you make yourself look dumb .
Squid Game Phone Issues
Netflix has been extra editing his series Squid Game, dedicated streaming. It’s not about the content; these are phone numbers. The show did not use these fake 555 numbers, so fans are calling real people who are unlucky enough to share numbers with this show. This South Korean woman says she has received thousands of calls and text messages from Squid Game fans, and this guy says she receives over 4,000 messages a day, many from children who say they want to participate in the game. Netflix announced that they are going to edit the numbers , which seems like a missed opportunity to me. They could organize a real squid game and be even more successful.
This Week On TikTok: Who Is The Couch Guy?
When the user TikTok @laurenzarras decided to surprise his friend Robbie at his college, she had no idea of the video would be the whole thing. Lauren came in and Robbie was sitting on the couch with two other girls. Basically, that’s all that happened, but TikTok commentators smelled a rat and walked around Sherlock Holmes in the video, noting the tricky phone conversation and analyzing the expressions on everyone’s faces for infidelity. According to Lauren, nothing happened, but it did not deter memes and parodies stream videos from falling into TikTok with the question: ” Not guilty if the guy on the couch?” “Is Lauren Playing?” and “Why does anyone care?”
Viral Video of the Week: iPhone 13 Repair Nightmare – Repair Teardown and Evaluation
This week’s viral video details the new iPhone. While disassembling a pair of iPhone 13s to get a look at their insides is interesting in and of itself, the real purpose of the video is to showcase Apple’s devious strategies to prevent humans from repairing broken phones. YouTuber Hugh Jefferies is a big supporter of electronics repair, but Apple’s latest models do not allow for the most commonly replaced bits to be replaced without a significant performance hit. You can’t even replace the screen, the most easily broken part, without going to the Apple Store – if you turn off the display, facial recognition won’t work even if you replace the glass with the front of another iPhone 13..
