How to Donate to Charity on Google Play
Google has simply made it easier for Android users to make charitable donations . This week, the company began rolling out a new donation feature on Google Play that allows Android users in the US, Canada, Mexico, Germany, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Taiwan and Indonesia to donate to a number of different charities directly from Google Play.
To donate, go to play.google.come / donate on your Android device. This will open a page with a list of supported charities, each with a Donate button next to it. Clicking on the donate button gives you the option to choose an amount between $ 5 and $ 200. You will then be taken to a payment page, similar to the one you see when purchasing the app, which confirms that you want to make a donation and use the saved payment information.
Here is a complete list of supported charities:
American Red Cross
Charity: water
Doctors Without US Borders
Girls who code
International Rescue Committee
Reading room
Save the children
UNICEF
USA World Food Program
WWF USA
Amazon also offers the ability to donate to a number of charities through Alexa . This feature supports 50 different charities, from well-known groups like the American Cancer Society to lesser-known groups like the West Seattle Baseball League. Amazon has also added the ability to purchase a physical toy for Toys for Tots through its virtual assistant this holiday season.
