These Dog Foods Contain Potentially Toxic Levels of Vitamin D
The FDA has announced a nationwide recall of several dry dog food brands as they contain 70 times the planned amount of vitamin D. Too much can lead to organ failure and death, so check labels and watch for vitamin D signs. D poisoning.

According to the FDA, symptoms of vitamin D poisoning include vomiting, loss of appetite, increased thirst, increased urination, excessive salivation, and weight loss. In severe cases, pets can have kidney damage that can be fatal.
